VanGuilder Wedding

Two weekends ago we took a trip up north for my cousin Ben's wedding in Charlevoix. As usual, we stayed with Jessa and Nate. Thanks for hosting us again! The wedding was great - the bride Laura looked amazing and Ben was so handsome in his tuxedo.

The happy couple

Britt and Jim

Ruth and Ruthie

We borrowed Jessa and Nate's bikes to take a ride to the park near their house. It's been a while since I've been on a bike outside of spinning class (and don't let me fool you, I'm not even in spinning class that often) and well, I think I need some more practice. I fell when attempting to stop/dismount the bike. An embarrassing event to say the least, plus my son thinks it's a great story so he keeps telling people that "Mommy fell down". Ugh!

Roman loved this bike trailer ... we've got to get one.

Ruthie is named after her Great Grandma (who Roman calls GG). Well, GG and little Ruthie have a pretty strong bond already. She couldn't get enough of Ruthie.

Kisses from Dad

Charlevoix has a great downtown area. The night we left Jessa's house, we went downtown for some fudge and a little music. Roman had a blast ... check out how close he is to the clam shell stage. I think it was the highlight of his trip.

Ruthie started to grabbed her toes a couple weeks ago and before we went up for the wedding, she began rolling over from back to front. She rarely spends any time on her back now. As soon as we set her down, she rolls over and holds her head up high. I think this little girl is going to be on the move soon.

Ohhhhh...I so wish I could've been there! It looks like it was a fun weekend. I love the photos of the two Ruthies....so precious. Looks like you've had a fun end of summer with a great trip out to Cali. Love ya!
