Cereal City Vacation

Last week we were in Battle Creek on vacation and we got to spend tons of time with the family. Carl's brother Brian, his wife Melissa and their beautiful baby girl Jaycee were in town from Arizona. Jaycee is only 7 weeks older than Ruthie, so its fun to see the girls together.

Carl's cousin Andrea and her son Kaleb also came up to visit with everyone over the weekend. It was great to see the two of them. Kaleb is getting so big!! In the muscle flexing photo below, he asked me if I had brought "Tickets to the gun show" ... what a funny little man.

We went to the Turkey Farm for dinner (www.turkeyville.com) with Grandpa and Grandma. Roman loves everything about it. He likes the drive to the farm through the country where he gets to see corn fields. He likes to watch the coin operated train and of course he LOVES the homemade ice cream (Blue Moon of course). Grandma gave Roman a quarter and asked him if he was going to put it in his piggy bank and Roman replied, "No, choo-choo train!!"

Carl and Roman did a lot of fishing over the week. It seemed that each day Roman got more and more adventurous as the week progressed ... until he fell in the water on the last day. :)
