Rain, Rain, Go Away

We had lots of rain this weekend. It started raining Friday night and its pretty much been raining ever since (it's now Sunday). The silver maple tree in our backyard dropped a few large branches, looks like we got some cleaning up to do.

Even though it was a rainy weekend, we kept ourselves pretty busy. Friday night we took the guard rails off Roman's bed. He was so excited and he handled the change great. I think he was just happy to have the rails off so he could flop in the bed from all angles.

So far he hasn't fallen out yet. On Saturday, Carl and Roman went to the Royal Oak Farmers Market together. Carl bought tons of delicious vegetables and mushrooms and Roman picked out some flowers for me. Beautiful!

Ruthie had her first solid foods on Saturday and she took to the rice cereal like a champ. Since I've been Ruthie's main source of nutrition since she was born, it was a big deal for me to start her on other foods. We'll keep up with the cereal for the next couple weeks and then we'll start with the good stuff ... fruits and veggies.

Unfortunately, our favorite football teams did not have a good weekend. Poor Wolverines ... poor Lions! Roman is already a diehard fan though, check him out.
