Ruth Frances Bonfiglio

Please help us welcome home our new baby girl, Ruth Frances Bonfiglio! Isn't she just beautiful (not like we're biased or anything)?! She has been completely decked out in pink clothing since she was born, thanks to her loving Grandma, Baba, and Aunts.

I went into labor Friday morning (April 11th) and Baby Ruthie was born at 11:46 AM. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. and measured 20 inches long. The labor and delivery was truly a great experience - I couldn't have done it without my wonderful and supportive husband. Carl is amazing!

Since both Ruth and I were feeling good, we were able to go home on Saturday night. Roman welcomed his new baby sister home with a big kiss and Grandpa Wegener made a sign announcing Ruthie's homecoming to the neighborhood.

We've had a busy couple of days at home. Ruthie kind of has her nights and days mixed up, so our nights are long and we spend the day catching up on much needed sleep. We've also had so many wonderful emails, phone calls, gifts and well wishes from everyone. Thank you so much for all the love and support.

The pediatrician gave Ruth a good report at her check-up on Monday. It was our first big outing with the new baby - good thing we have that minivan now!

Stay tuned ... more photos to come. Love to you all!

Wow, she is a looker! :) Meghan, you look radiant after having just had a baby...if only I could be so lucky! I love the photo of Ruthie with her eyes open toward the end of the post. So precious! Congratulations, again!

Absolutely gorgeous! And what a great present for big bro - bribery is key to any good sibling relationship! ha ha.

Congrats!

I am so beside myself = you two! Can you believe that you doubled your household in two years - good work. I am so amazed and happy for you both and also wishing I was there to hold little Ruthie. Give her huge hugs from Auntie Anne & Uncle Eric and I will begin investigating flights back to MI to see the growing family that I love SOOOO much!

Miss you!
